Green Beans in Qadisha Grove Olive Oil

This simple recipe brings out all the wonderful flavors of the oil in a savory side dish.


  • ½ cup Oleavanti Qadisha Grove Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and extra for drizzling at the end
  • 2 medium white onions diced (2 cups)
  • 1 lb. green beans fresh or frozen, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 bunch scallions, chopped


  1. In a medium pot over medium heat, heat the olive oil.
  2. Add the onions and sauté until translucent and softened, about 7 minutes.
  3. Add the green beans, sprinkle with salt, and cook covered on medium heat for 40 minutes.
  4. Remove the lid and let cook on low heat for an additional 10 minutes to reduce the leftover liquid.
  5. Stir in the black pepper and garnish with scallions.
  6. Transfer to a serving plate. Serve warm or cold with an extra drizzle of Oleavanti Qadisha Grove olive oil and enjoy with pita bread, and scallions.
